Last weekend I attended Sean and Stephanie’s wedding in sunny Waupaca, Wisconsin. One of the highlights was the interruption of a child during the vows which was thankfully captured on video by someone and put on YouTube:
My sister got married this weekend in a barn with a bluegrass band in western Wisconsin. One of the best weddings I’ve been to. It’s a great feeling when you hear everyone talk about how genuine and fun everything was. Casey’s a fantastic guy and I’m proud to have him as my brother-in-law. I got to meet many of Casey’s relatives over the weekend and my sister certainly married into a very wonderful and loving family. Great people. Made for a great weekend for all. Check out the photoset on Flickr.
To many, many happy years…!
UPDATE: As many have asked, that fantastic beer at the wedding was a gift from DUO Brewing.
Spent some time in Des Moines, Iowa for my cousin’s wedding. Had a bit of time to do some exploring and visited The Continental and The Locust Tap in Des Moines’ East Village neighborhood. Pleasantly cool area of town. If I was forced to live here that’s where you’d find me.
We stayed at the Embassy Suites Des Moines which had great breakfast and an “Evening Manager’s Reception” from 5:30-7:30pm which was a fully open bar to anyone showing a room key.
Room keys were also available for free in the lobby at the self-check-in kiosks. Parking was also free once word spread fast that the code to get into the lot was 1-5-0-0.
Annoying ice cream truck with carnival music and a loud bell woke me up. Then kids screaming at it.

Trying to get my head around why Firefox renders ″ with bonus space after it. Also, Minnesota is 150 years old today. Young, ya know.
