Fort Wilson Riot’s Indie-Rock Opera Idigaragua opens tonight at the Bedlam Theatre. Andrea Myers at Reveille posted a long write-up on Idigaragua as well as all of Idigaragua’s lyrics at Reveille Backstage . Also, David de Young has a half hour interview with Fort Wilson Riot as the featured story at How Was The Show. I really wish I could go.
UPDATE: I was able to go to the Thursday, September 13th show with Stacy, Dave and Kyle. Great show. I hope you were able to catch it too.
KARE 11 is the only source I’ve seen that has anything about this. Just sayin’: hipsters have known that the 400 Bar has been “acoustically deficient” for many years before it fell apart.
Update: In a discussion on HowWasTheShow Forums, Dave Loomer finds a gem from the Rake Forums predicting this would happen back in January:
“…the 400 Bar is going to collapse. Seriously. Look at the brick wall that faces Riverside — it’s bulging a good 6 inches out of plumb. That’s trouble, dude.”
UPDATE: “Sullivan, the 400’s co-owner, said the bricks were part of a decorative veneer and that the building itself remains structurally intact.”
Reveille quietly launched a blog this week. So far, in my opinion, it feels a bit like a formal version of the HowWasTheShow Forums. They’ve also quietly had a MySpace page and Facebook group. Now they’re on Twitter, YouTube and Virb. Friend them up. Whew.
