I've had a bunch of problems receiving a package where it required a signature in person and they wouldn't leave it for pickup anywhere. It forced me to work from home today and what showed up around 13:00 was a FedEx delivery guy driving a rental truck. What the heck? UPDATE: From the comments, Alexis writes:

FedEx Home Delivery drivers technically buy their own trucks; they pay the company to provide them with a company vehicle. I’m assuming that if the truck breaks down, the drivers are responsible for a formidable substitute.
