After a strong recommendation from my sister and brother-in-law, Taylor and I stopped at Dulono's Pizza for lunch. Dulono's has been around since the late 50's and the interior is a compilation of weird stuff from old signs, posters, prints to a large fish. My favorite, which I unfortunately did not get a photo of, was a print of the Minneapolis skyline at night which was modified with tiny lights to simulate the blinking red lights at the top of the skyscrapers and little yellow lights along the interstate and bridge. So strange.

Anyway, the place was almost empty on a Saturday around lunch but Dulono's gets packed on the weekend evenings as they have live bluegrass music -- there's a full stage in the back.

Taylor and I got a large pepperoni pizza. It was a bit of a greasy pie but it was pretty tasty. The airy crust on the edges cracked a bit when biting in. The cheese was thick and gooey. Not much sauce here and the pepperoni was crispy and spicy except for the ones that got drenched in grease towards the middle. Satisfying overall and quite filling.

A funny place with some history and quite decent midwestern style party-cut pizza. There's some road construction in front of them right now but don't let that deter you -- they have a free parking lot.
