I grew up near Withrow, MN, a small old railroad town that's shrunk so much it's been unincorporated for decades. All that's left is a bar, a ballroom and the elementary school I went to. It's only about 10 miles from the Interstate 694/494 loop not far from Stillwater.

My old next door neighbor Jim decided to take on beekeeping a number of years ago and in the last year started blogging about it. These days the site's getting more exciting: He set up a nice trail scouting camera to capture what lurks in near his bees. He got the photos you see above a few days ago. It foreshadowed what showed up this week!

I heard from one of his daughters last night that he might be setting up a Flickr account for the trail scouting camera. He also sells fantastic honey products.
