Reading Room of Brian Melendez

I have indirectly posted this before, but Brian Melendez has a fantastic reading room. He’s having a party this evening and I am dissapointed in the quantity of available literature this evening. I have seen much more before. Still a sizable collection of current periodicals, though. On a positive note, I noticed the addition of the 3M Post-It Flags that are available for readers.

Shaved Cat

Car pooling with Alex and Jeannette to a party and I’m here early. Sitting on Alex’s porch for awhile and then the cats come out to play. One is now shaved.

Lowry Hill Tunnel Closed

Got snagged in a traffic jam last night/this morning as they closed the Lowry Hill Tunnel westbound. Finally made it to Mortimer’s at 00:30 for a drink with Hamil and Jill from Totally Scrabble Tuesday, Mr. Nasty Raps, Rock and Roll Ray and Dave.

Nextel Motorola i580

Coworker Nick got the new i580. This beast is one of the most rugged mobile devices I’ve ever held. Notable as it’s a flip phone. In fact, it feels like it could handle more abuse than any outdoor GPS unit I’ve seen. I want to throw it across the building to test it but I will wait a few days as Nick got it less than 24 hours ago.

Hexagon Bar, Minneapolis, MN

After just missing Zosia at the 331 Club and then just missing Ang at Mortimer’s, Amy, Matt and I continue to the Hexagon Bar… just missing Dave by a few minutes. We went out too late. All was good after a few Redbull Vodkas.

Town Talk Diner Again

Back again for Ang’s birthday. They gave us a round a shots on the house after we paid our bill. My 10th visit here since they opened. w00t. I love this place.

Hot

37C/98F. And the weekend is only going to get worse.

Drinks at the Town Talk Diner

A ton of Dodgeballers here tonight but met up with Dave for food and a drink. I was quadruple-fisting for a bit there.

Donatelli Bros., White Bear Lake, MN

Guthrie Theater, Minneapolis, MN

Touring the new Guthrie Theater.
