SFZero - Journey To The End Of The Night

14:54 and we are still getting ready to leave for the “morning.” Last night was part of SFZero’s Journey To The End Of The Night. Jason has a good explanation as how it all worked. After running around the whole city chasing people and being chased we had a bonfire at Ocean Beach that went past 4am. I posted my photos on Flickr. Great people a very good time.

Packing for San Fran

Way too messy of a packing job, but I am only carrying what I need for 4 days. Getting excited about getting out there while I pack too. In 48 hours I’ll be running around the city doing who knows what, thanks to SF0. :)

Hiptop Woes

I haven’t had a great time with my hiptop lately. First off a thank you to Matt for letting me borrow his hiptop last weekend. He suffered along on a RAZR.

I’ve been playing with replacement parts and I now have a fully functioning hiptop that does everything great except for charge a battery. I’ve modified my spare parts to house my malfunctioning keyboard, broken keyboard rubber, broken camera, missing display and shoddy speaker. Most importantly this is now something that will charge a hiptop battery for my working one that won’t. As many of you know, the hiptop doesn’t allow you to change the battery yourself so I created my own battery door. Wee!

I can’t live like this normally so I’ve been using my boss’ Motorola RAZR and my Nokia 6610 in times where I don’t need to use a hiptop.

Currently looking for a new device and I am not sure the hiptop3 is where I want to go. I don’t like Windows Mobile at all and I am not a fan of the Treos, even the new ones. I am not all that much of a fan of the new Blackberry but it isn’t bad. I am seriously considering the Nokia E61. Friend of a friend got one from overseas and I am looking at doing the same. Seems like an awesome device and would have everything I want… but no camera.

This would mean the end of the photo moblog for me, but it might be time for me to move on to other things anyway. I need to make a decision in a week or so.

2006 DFL Convention Over

Mark Richie became the endorsed candidate for Sec of State after 1 vote. Ending early. Time to go home.
