CD Release Show

Saw The Monster of Phantom Lake at the Heights Theater. A fun local low-budget poke at 50’s horror films. Cast was on hand for meet and greet afterwards.

Dave and I decided to check out the new Chatterbox Pub on the other side of the river. We were impressed. Very similar feel to the other Chatterbox but with a lot more space and much more clean. Food here is much better as well while keeping a very similar menu and almost identical drink list. Some of the furniture and lighting looked exactly the same as Minneapolis Chatterbox. Eerie.
Better photos here.

One of the best shows I’ve seen from them. They were tearing the place apart. Crowd in the second set was applauding throughout each piece. I’m surprised more people haven’t found out about these guys yet.

After a long chain of email correspondence, some cousins and I were finally able to coordinate being at the same bar at the same time. Drank tiki drinks and snacked for over 4 hours. Good times. Early highlight was Andy who after looking at the menu asked the waitress, “Which is the shittiest beer: Lone Star or Fat Cat?” She replied “Lone Star.” He said, “I’ll have that.”

I got to post live updates at minvolved.com. We endorsed IRV Voting as well as four school board candidates: Pam Costain, Chris Stewart, Tom Madden and T. Williams. Took over 6 hours.
