Dinner Party at Mindy’s
17th floor of a high rise on Robert and Kellogg in downtown Saint Paul. Lots of drinks and good food… especially the Raspberry Mindy Special dessert.
The Old Sawmill Grill & Bar, Stillwater, MN
My second visit to this place. After the wedding we came to close the place out. More fun this time, but maybe it was the company and the number of drinks.
Tim and Theresa’s Wedding Reception
At the Washington County Historic Courthouse in Stillwater, MN. Live music by Contratopia. Three hours of dancing and the last dance lead us all dancing outside for a surprise for the bride: the groom taking her off by horse and carriage.
Pre-Wedding Shuttle
After practicing music at Tim’s parents’ house, went to Theresa’s mother’s house to help out. Ended up shuttling around a slip for the Bride’s dress (from a house to the church), a tray of meat and cheese (from Cub Foods to the church) and Sarah, Garrett’s date (from a house to get food and then to the church). Now I am back at Tim’s parents’ place picking up the vocalist and bringing him to the church as well.
The Michele Bachmann Highway
In the Stillwater, MN area today and noticed that State Senator Michele Bachmann had “adopted” the two mile portion of Stonebridge Trail between MN96 and Otchipwe Ave just north of town. I don’t know how long it’s been adopted: it could have been this way for years or it could have been recent due to her current attempt at getting a US congressional seat. Taking her fucked up version of reality and poltics aside, if you’re going to adopt the road, put your orange vest and gloves on and pick this shit up! McDonalds, Taco Bell, Coors and soda of all sorts everywhere. I had to stop to take photos and pick up some myself (garbage pictured is now in my car to by recycled/trashed). I would tell you that you should be ashamed for this but I’d be wasting energy as I should be talking about the shit you’re trying to do in public office.
