Out with Chuck and Bill. Found ten this morning in Burnsville, Apple Valley, Eagan and surrounding area. Now it’s off for lunch.

Jensen’s Cafe, Burnsville, MN
Out with Bill, Kim and Chuck. Met at 7am. Was here a couple months ago on the same time and day of the week and we got seated in the same spot and we ordered almost exactly what we had last time. It’s Bill’s birthday so we are going on a geocaching adventure.
Clicquot Club Cafe, Minneapolis, MN
Out with Dave at the Clicquot Club Cafe. We had never been before and we were both impressed. We got their Formagio Quattro pizza. No alcohol here yet so I got a San Pellegrino Aranciata and Dave got an Orange Crush. They ended up screwing up the pizza somehow in the kitchen and they came out to apologize and explain. In their next trip to our table they gave us each a free drink of what we ordered previously. When the pizza came out it was surprisingly quite good and worth the extra wait.
Very friendly staff and the crowd seemed pleasant. It’s local to my house and as they’re open rather late for a cafe, I will be back again soon.

Out with Matt seeing JoAnna James at the Kitty Cat Klub. She apparently went to my high school.

Right before going to sleep, Kristin and Kari called to tell me they were picking me up and taking me out to Matt’s Bar. I had never been before and I’m now a fan.

Groveland Tap, Saint Paul, MN
My birthday’s been great! After this morning’s bar closing at Mortimer’s with Matt, Bo, Hamil and some of his friends, I slept into about 11:30am. The only productive thing I did all day was shoveling the sidewalks.
Tonight, went out to the Groveland Tap with Bill, Kim, Andy, Linsay, Brian, Matt and Dave. Also ran into Tap regulars Kari, her sister Amy and their friends. Good times.
Birthday Dinner
My birthday is tomorrow and my relatives from my mother’s side of the family came over. They brought some gifts, ice cream, cake and we ordered pizza. I haven’t blown out a birthday candle in years - what a treat. Having everyone come over meant a lot to me. I haven’t had a birthday celebration with family like this in a long time. In a few hours I will be 27. Scary.
Twin Cities Hot Club at the Times
Out with Matt seeing Twin Cities Hot Club at The Times Bar and Cafe. Sipping martinis and watching folks lindy hop to Django-style gypsy jazz in a swanky club — hard to beat.
