Quick Team Alex Meeting

It is a great feeling knowing that after the months of work we’ve done with Alex Eaton it is starting to make a real impact. This afternoon we got word that our incumbent opponent has decided to not run for re-election. Heidi quickly set up a meeting with 9 core campaign staff. We are in very good spirits. A lot more work yet to do though…

Feist and Jason Collett at the Fineline Music Café

Out with Matt, Kari, Kristin and Amy. Compared to the last two great shows Feist has had here, this one was even above and beyond. [Insert review (if this was a music review site) or low res photos (if my hiptop was working) here]

Lazy Sunday

My hiptop stopped charging, so I am out with my Nokia 6610. Went to Dunn Bros. on Grand for coffee with Brian, Sean, Ian, his wife Julia and son Kieran, and HotelCoffee podcaster Dan O’Leary. We decided to go to the Franklin Street Bakery afterwards to check out their cupcakes. After reading Alexis’s review and the recent MNspeak.com thread on that subject, I wanted see what the buzz was about. Yum, yum. Quite good. Maybe one of the best cupcakes I’ve ever had. While the hiptop is trying to charge, I put the photos on Flickr.

Loring Park Coffee House, Minneapolis, MN

Out with Heidi working on Alex’s website.

Party at Lisa’s

January 2006 Fearless Filmmakers Screening Event

At the Riverview Theater with Brian. Project Spotlight put a good collection of local shorts together. Now off to the after-party at Nochee.

My Cats on MobuzzTV

Not to be outdone by local vlogger Chuck Olsen’s cat Mooki, who appeared in the new issue of Mpls St Paul Magazine, as well as cats that use Friendster, my cats Minnie and Nadia showed up at the end of today’s MobuzzTV hosted by Karina Stenquist. I was quite surprised to hear her say my name when I was watching. I didn’t think they’d take me seriously when I sent them this video. Awesome. Meow.

Post-Scrabble Scrabble

After watching Totally Scrabble Tuesday with Matt, Garrett, Brian, Amy, Kari and Bill (Bill via webcast), Garrett and I played two hardcore games of Scrabble. At 1:45am I decided I needed to go to sleep.

Caffeinated Soap and Lip Balm

A little birthday gift arrived today thanks to a friend in San Antonio. Caffeinated Soap and Lip Balm. The Lip Balm came in handy today, although I am not sure yet about the energetic effects. Either it is working quite well or I am just thinking it is. I will use the soap tomorrow morning, but I admit that I am a bit scared after this review. :-)

Nasty Server Upgrade

Been working on an upgrade for about 6 hours now. Everything I was worried about works fine. The stuff that was supposed to be no problem broke. At least I have a fresh new Open Directory now. :-) Should be a fun morning tomorrow. It’s almost 11pm and there’s more work yet before I go home.
