Moving out Dorothy Moberg, Saint Louis Park, MN

Bill, Matt and I moved everything out of Ben’s grandmother’s apartment. As she’s moved into a more managed care situation, most of the stuff will be donated.

Mason Jennings at First Avenue, Minneapolis

Out with Alex and Emma. We are so far back on this sold out show that this is about as good as I am going to get for a photo. The show was enjoyable even if you couldn’t see him. A great solo show; almost as good as his first show here. I can’t wait for his next album. Most of the crowd was singing along with every song.

Pizza Lucé - Seward, Minneapolis, MN

Matt and I out for a bite to eat after the show. Ran into Linsay’s friend Jennifer on the way in. Apparently she ends up here on many Friday nights. Along with the pizza with pepperoni and roasted garlic, I had a Dr. Fresh’s Cold Remedy. It’s “a hot toddy made with Bushmill’s and the juice of half a lemon.” Arr num num. Matt enjoyed the Bell’s Two Hearted Ale.

Low at First Avenue, Minneapolis

A Christmas show with Low. I’m impressed with how much holiday material they have. They brought bassist Matt Livingston along with about an 8 piece “choir” and a few other preformers. It’s good to see Alan Sparhawk in decent shape. Everything had a strange vibe to it though. Good show nonetheless.

Update: Greg Seitz has a good write-up of the show.

Trampled by Turtles at First Avenue, Minneapolis

Awesome bluegrass band from Duluth opening for Low.

Lake Street Garage with Bill and Kim

Great as usual. Strange seeing the owner of the recently closed Molly Quinn’s hanging out here. Bill describes our experience at the Lake Street Garage better than I do.

Go East Winter Celebration Art Show and Sale

Employees and friends of Go East showing art. Many of our clients and some vendors and friends come by to buy things for the holidays.

More Namennayo Stuff!

My sister Amy, likely inspired by the gifts I got from Alexis, found some more んよ stuff! (Namenneko or Namennayo - seems to be spelled either way)

She gave me another cat driving permit, a miniture driving permit that works as a mobile phone charm, and another mobile phone charm of a cat playing a guitar. On the other side of the charm is a soft cleaning surface for touching up the display of my hiptop! How utilitarian! That, and a screen cleaning cat playing a guitar is more pimp than any of the charms you can buy from T-Mobile. Thanks Amy!

Buca di Beppo, Saint Paul

Out with my relatives on my mother’s birthday. She would have been 46 today.
