O’Malley’s Lucky Irish Pub, Woodbury, MN

It’s amazing what they can get away with calling an "Irish Pub" these days. Out with Brian, Beth, Matt, Angie, Rob and Emily.

Update 26 Feb 06: After a few email exchanges with one of the two owners regarding this post, I was invited back after learning more about the history and ownership of this independently-owned pub. Quite honestly it was a lot better the second time around. Now, if I need a place to have a pint in Woodbury, O’Malley’s Lucky Irish Pub is what I’d choose. I’ll be back.

Post-Wedding Craziness

….after most everyone has left…

Tower 310260, 746F, 5071?

No beer at this wedding, so we snuck back to my car for some Sparks. We noticed our T-Mobile service was excellent then noticed a tower in the back yard. We went down to toast to it. Cheers!

Jon and Kim’s Wedding

Pre-Wedding Mix

Matt and I arrived too early to Jon and Kim’s wedding. They left us with everything they set up and went to lunch. Of course one can’t leave it all sit. I mixed some Bob Dylan, Mercury Rev, Nancy Sinatra, Pink Martini, Gomez and some Morrisey. Then the guitarist decided she wanted to do a sound check. Fun’s over.

Darla’s Grill and Malt Shop, Stillwater, MN

I grew up in Stillwater and went to Stillwater Area High School. I don’t come back here much as it’s a very touristy town for Minnesota standards and there’s too many people from High School I’d just prefer not run into. Down here with Matt as we are going to a wedding near here today.

Poker with Beth

Last night. With Sparks even.

One Minute Late

Roommate Matt tells me a half hour ago that he found a note from FedEx. They didn’t leave my package, but sent it to Saint Louis Park. So I decide to race the clock and make the journey to the other side of the Twin Cities and arrive one minute late at 20:01. The woman inside ignored me until I pleaded and she came to the door, unlocked it and explained that they "already ran their reports" or whatever.

Bah. Now I am in Saint Louis Park. I guess I will go home.

Maplewood Nature Center

Visiting Maplewood Nature Center with Teresa. Saw a surprising amount of squirrels today and a kind of duck we haven’t seen at the park before. We got smoothies afterwards.

Magellan GPS Adventure

Trying to decrypt some clues and find the cache for Adventure 13 with Magellan’s Be There GPS Adventure. We did some searching in near Hidden Falls in Saint Paul, which is near the Ford Plant, but came up empty. Back to work now.
