I suppose it would make sense to start with yesterday: I find out I am missing my credit card. I make plans for the evening and then fall ill in the afternoon and cancel them. On my way out to meet up with someone at 4:50pm, Lauren calls and tells me she busted the mirror off her car in a small accident. Its snowy and messy out now, and I can’t help her right away. I end up over 20 minutes late to my meeting and then head out to meet up with Lauren…
Then as I am following a car through a yellow light, someone oncoming, making a left turn, pulls into my lane. So I smash into her car. Pfft. Luckily I was driving slow enough where I had almost no damage. The other woman’s corner light got knocked out and her bumper was cracked.
So Lauren and I finally get together and decide to fix the mirror the next day (today). We walk down to a local bar, and on our way home, I notice that my upstairs window is open. My roommate had opened it because it was too warm. I informed him that my heating bill last month was almost $200.
Anyway, today, I stop over at Lauren’s to do some true Minnesotan workmanship to her mirror.

I am confused by my cats. Normally every morning they are begging for food. I generally never beat them to their empty food dish - they are ahead of me meowing. In the last couple days I have gone to the empty food dish, filled it, and they are actually patient and decide to eat later. Sometimes an hour later. I know they are hungry, unless one of my roommates is secretly feeding them or something - which I highly doubt. Here are photos of the recently filled food dish and Minnie and Nadia just hanging out as if it makes no difference to them.
