After about a half hour of work done at home, I decided to hit the roads to the office while they were still covered in ice. My door froze open when I tried to close it while I was scraping off the windshield. Finally got it to close. So I decide to stop at my girlfriend’s on the way to work and scrape off her windshiled. Watched an idiot in an Oldsmobile next to me slide at 50mph with his front tires fully stopped right along side me. He almost hit the wall and the accident he was trying to avoid in front of him. Then, in the neighbourhood where Lauren lives, at a 4 way stop a guy in an old car was spinning, literally, down the hill towards the intersection. He almost swiped 3 parked cars and was very lucky. He ended up almost at the stop sign, in the correct lane, but in reverse.

So I get to Lauren’s house and notice my driver’s side door is now frozen shut. I get out the passanger side and start working on Lauren’s car. All is good, and I get on my way and get to work. Now, I realize, both doors are frozen shut. Using my hiptop I instant messaged co-workers and Rob and Kris tried to get me out of my own car. I end up calling the owner of the company and he moves his truck out of the indoor garage and lets me park there. I still can’t get out of the car, and thanks to wifi, my car is currently my office. Its been 15 minutes now and I still can’t get out.

Spent most of the afternoon (and maybe the rest of this evening) trying to recover files off of my boss’ 17" Powerbook.
