Name: Nadia
Nicknames: Nad, Meow
Born: October 2001
Lives in: Cooper, Minneapolis
Lives with: Aaron Landry and Allen Effenberger

Nadia was a feral cat that was found during a rain storm when she was a tiny kitten near Withrow. Nadia was with other cats in her litter and her mother. As it was going to freeze that night and these cats were trapping themselves under a culvert, Aaron’s sister was determined to try to save them. She was only able to save one of them. The rest of the cats haven’t been seen since.

When Nadia was a small kitten she was very skittish and shy. She wasn’t very playful and did not like to be held. Now as an adult cat she is still shy but can generally be approached. She’s the type of cat that’ll come sit on one’s lap but won’t let you put her there. She’ll waste most of the day on naps in her “cat spot” near a bedroom window.

She actively enjoys lasers and a long rainbow string. She lounges in the sun, watches birds and squirrels outside and infrequently goes outside. A visit outdoors usually consists of hiding under the back porch. Sometimes she’ll run a few houses away to get everyone worried and then casually walks home.

Nadia lives with Aaron who is runs Minnesota Meow. He’s an online media guru at night and by day is the IT Manager for Go East in Saint Paul. He’s also a private pilot, amateur photographer, pianist and restless adventurer.

Nadia also lives with roommate Allen Effenberger who is a baritone with the Minnesota Chorale and a student and assistant instructor at East-West Karate.
