Went to check out the new Parkway Pizza in my neighborhood which replaced Goff’s. A big “Grand Opening” banner hung on the side and on a Saturday afternoon it is closed.
UPDATE 10 Feb 07: I visited today (after 4pm this time) and it is indeed better than Goff’s. Interior is cleaner but still pretty stale but they put in a pool table. They’re even looking to get a beer license.
UPDATE 11 May 08: After having them number of times, I wrote more about Parkway Pizza in Minneapolis. They never got that beer license, by the way.

I hope it’s better then Goff’s. Every time I went in there, I felt like I was inconveniencing them to ask for a pizza.

They went through some pretty bad recipes (and management) for a while, but the new Parkway Pizza is definitely a move in the right direction.
Posted 19 Mar 2007 at 15:01 ¶I thought the food was really good when it was Goff’s. The employees needed work, with the exception of a couple. Also, the store needed updates! I liked when they had real gyros, with the meat off the cone… those were the best. However, the owner (Goff), was/is a jerk off. I met him on a couple of occasions. Prob why the store has gone through so many employees/managers. Who owns it now? Still Goff?

Posted 19 Mar 2007 at 18:29 ¶The two new owners are into guys for sure. It tastes surprisingly like Lake Harriat pizza for some reason, i can’t put my finger on it. Weird. Anyways, these new kids need to quit jacking their dicks off and put in tappan’s pool table. nobbody plays spoogeball. grow up.
