While Ian and Jason got to stay at the red carpet, Erin (from MPR?) kicked me out right when the stars started to come. Bloggers aren’t cool enough. She said that the press passes were all claimed last Monday. Total bullshit as Drinking With Ian got a pass just an hour before. Ron’s a sweet talker though and “oh, I am Aaron Landry with s4xton dot com…” didn’t fly. My “press badge” that was all in Japanese and had a photo of a cat on it probably didn’t help either. Ian did well to help me stay with the press but when Erin came to kick me out nobody was going down with me. At least Jason DeRusha with WCCO got to get my nice spot for the 10pm news. I tried to get Erin to take a photo with me as she was kicking me out but she refused so I got that dopy looking one of her to remember later (photo 15).

The crowd was hilarious. It was as if people had never seen a famous person before. People were fighting over curb space. Taylor and Angie were there to see the crowd and when the stars came they left. For them, the show was over. Andy and I stuck around to see a bunch of girls scream at Lindsay Lohan and not recognize everyone else although the carpet was under quite a few stars.
