My family and I finally were able to move things out of my mother’s house. She died last June and her recent husband chose to keep most all of her assets. While the situation has been incredibly painful to deal with, it was good to put some closure on the important things that have been in the house – most of which have not been touched since June. Every single item had to be approved by him and his lawyers.
It is very possible that this was the last time I will be inside this house, which was my home growing up, and it is very possible that this was the last time I will visit with my mother’s cats, Simon and Porter.
Sorry to hear about it, Aaron. I’m glad you got to say goodbye to the cats.
Would kitty-napping be out of the question?
What a difficult thing to go through. I’m glad you’re getting some closure.
